Sun Tower beach apartment

We had a terrible stay in room 5 for one night on the weekend of June 21st, and cancelled the week we’d booked for July. There were three of us plus a newborn, and we’d asked for a camping crib. We’d put down a €150 deposit. They’d moved us from room 12 because, they said, there wouldn’t be enough room there. But room 5 was only suitable for two people, certainly not three or four. With the camping crib there was no space, and one of us would have had to go outside. It was filthy: hair on the floor, in the shower, on the pillow and bed, and the sheets were torn. The dish sponge looked ancient, and the years-old saucepan I was meant to use to heat water for my daughter’s milk had scratched Teflon. We had to buy a new sponge and saucepan. The much-promoted beach shuttle, supposedly included in the price, wasn’t running because the property was half empty and the golf cart driver wasn’t available. We had to use our own car. We told Mr. Vincenzo Bruno we were cancelling due to the lack of hygiene and living space. Since check-in was still a month away, I suggested returning our deposit, as he’d surely have time to rent the room again. Instead of apologizing for what the photos showed, Mr. Vincenzo Bruno said they took cleanliness seriously, and offered a voucher. I told him it was no use to me. Why would I recommend a place where I’d had such a bad experience to friends or relatives? He eventually promised to refund the deposit if he re-rented those dates. In the weeks after that, he was completely unhelpful and showed no understanding. Once the dates were occupied again, he stopped replying to our messages. On the phone, he acted as though nothing had happened. We sent him a screenshot of the property calendar showing those dates were no longer bookable. Irritably, he said he was an architect and couldn’t just stand by and watch if the period was reoccupied. Nobody had asked him to do that; we were simply informing him. Despite his promise, he kept our money. Apparently the architect needs our €150. After this awful experience, I can only conclude his positive reviews came from friends. Another hotelier with a shred of common sense would have apologized and refunded us straight away. This arrogant, presumptuous man kept our money. He must be in a really bad situation.

The location worked really well, close to the center, and the shuttle to Tonnarella beach was very convenient. Our rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and we had a fantastic stay. We’ll definitely come back.

We had a lovely, relaxing week of sun and sea in July 2025, and would definitely like to stay here again. Vincenzo and Elisabetta managed the hotel expertly, and Morena and the rest of the staff were attentive and ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was spacious, the air conditioning was top-notch, and the outdoor areas were practical and spotless. 🌺❤️

There’s a supermarket just a few meters away, and the sea is close too, with the property shuttle available to get there. The owner and all the staff were very helpful. The rooms were spotless, and the terrace was a dream. The place has all the comforts and amenities for a relaxing holiday. Recommended!!!
