Villa Altair

Breakfast was amazing, with lots of fresh food. We loved the place. The traditional house has been renovated and is comfortable, with nature all around, but the center is only a few minutes away by car.

We picked Villa Altair for our summer holiday because of its open, airy feel and the peace and quiet, even though the sea is close by. It turned out to offer more than we expected. The farmhouse is lovely and well looked after, with new fixtures and air conditioning. We didn’t need to use the air conditioning, since a nice breeze comes in from the countryside. Our room was spacious for a long stay, and the daily cleaning was impeccable. They changed the linen every two days, and the whole staff was kind and welcoming. We felt like family. They helped with every request, from our breakfast preferences and room hangers to contact details that made planning our outings easier. We met plenty of guests who have been coming back for years, which says a lot about how lovely everything was. The property also has a pool and garden for cooling off, and it’s home to the Giglio winery. I highly recommend doing a tasting there. Congratulations!

The staff and owner were incredibly kind and helpful, with advice that made our stay more enjoyable. Villa Altair is in a great spot for visiting Mazara del Vallo and the surrounding area. Outside, the garden with olive trees and Mediterranean plants gives the place a peaceful feel, and the private pool is lovely for cooling off or relaxing on hot days. Inside, the rooms are bright and spacious, with everything needed, and the kitchen is well equipped for meals on the terrace overlooking the garden. The furnishings mix traditional and modern touches with care. It’s a beautiful villa, and a great choice for a relaxing Sicilian holiday.

My wife and I came for the last weekend in August. We were welcomed warmly and shown the attractions around Mazara del Vallo. Breakfast was generous and varied, and Villa Altair is a wonderful place for families. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants peace and quiet surrounded by nature.
