Schötzerhof

The kids were especially happy about the garden playground and the evening chicken chase. We had a wonderful week, thanks, Roland and Christine! The apartment was very well equipped and had a stunning view across the valley. Bus and cable car connections were good, and there were delicious restaurants just a short walk away. It’s a great base for day trips to Bolzano/Merano and exploring the varied region. The hosts made us feel very welcome.

The children really enjoyed visiting the stable and watching the cows being milked, and you can buy farm products there too. We were welcomed warmly, and the apartment was clean and looked after. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware, plus a regular-sized refrigerator. Breakfast is available if requested, though €75 for two people felt excessive to me.

We had loads of room to relax, even with two adults, three kids, and two dogs. The apartment was modern and, above all, very clean. The farm is in a peaceful spot, with lovely hikes starting right from there. Every evening our youngest was keen to help with the barn chores, catch chickens, and ride the ponies. Once the jobs were done, the children would play outside together. He already misses the animals and the other kids. The hospitality really stood out. Everyone was ready to listen and took time for a friendly chat. Our lovely holiday at Schötzerhof is over and everyday life has taken over again, but we’ll treasure the memories and would love to return.

The Reiterer family were fantastic hosts, and we’d be glad to come back. Our apartment was modern, roomy, and had everything we needed. Families with young children should enjoy the play equipment and getting a firsthand taste of farm life. We had a wonderful week here.
