Belvedere Menaggio

Menaggio worked well as a base for exploring the lake. Ferries across the mid lake run often and are inexpensive, and the mountain walks were amazing, though definitely not for the faint hearted. There’s also a fantastic restaurant a fairly level, short walk from the apartment. The apartment is roomy, with gorgeous views from both the main bedroom and living area. The pool is quiet and clean, with lovely lake and mountain scenery, though getting to it means a steep walk. There’s a great garage for the car. It’s on a steep hill above Menaggio, so having a car makes it much easier to get around. Inside, there’s morning sun and mountain shade in the evening. No air con, but fans are provided, and closing the curtains during the day kept it comfortable even in the hottest weather. We’d happily return to Lake Como.
