Hotel Garni Corona

The room was very comfortable and the staff were lovely. My only complaint is that they won’t let you fill a water bottle at the hotel cooler, only use cups. Seems extremely petty when you’re paying €200+ a night.

We had a great room with a view, and the service was friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side and we could hear the restaurant downstairs, but those drawbacks were far outweighed by the overall experience. Great hotel, location, and view. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Menaggio.

The breakfast could use some improvement. There was nothing hot, mostly bread and lunch meats, though the coffee was good. Aside from that, it’s hard to beat this place: a beautiful building, a perfect location, and lovely lake views.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. We checked out early, before breakfast started, and they packed a little to-go bag for us. Such a nice gesture. Breakfast had fewer choices, but it was convenient and quite good, and we felt it was worth having. Our room, #304, had a balcony directly overlooking the lake. The view was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of space for two travelers. The A/C goes down to 21 C / 69 F, which we used during the heat of the day. Otherwise, the lake breeze and cooler evenings kept things pleasant. The hotel is right in the middle of everything in Menaggio, which gave us the slower pace we needed after Rome and Florence. It checks all the boxes for location.
