The location was ideal, and the Hotel itself was just right. My wife and I spent a week there in August 2025 and had a super experience. Management and staff were attentive and impeccable throughout. We also highly recommend the half-board option. We enjoyed delightful four-course dinners every day. We’ll most likely return to the same hotel and location when we get the chance.

We had a lovely time and I’ll be back. It’s easy to reach the lakeside esplanade after crossing a road that isn’t too busy, then there’s a gentle walk into town past pleasant bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with excellent staff and facilities. There’s also a comfortable lounge and a bar balcony overlooking the lake.

We’d happily stay at Hotel Cristallo again if we return to Lake Garda, and would recommend it to friends and family. Malcesine is beautiful, and the hotel is well situated. Many thanks to Maria, Elizabeth, Alicia and the rest of the hardworking team. We booked through Expedia for six nights. The hotel answered our emails promptly and took care of our questions, including about gluten-free options. Our side room, Room 219, was spotless and cleaned each morning. It had a lovely view of Lake Garda to the left and mountains to the right. The shower was a little small but worked perfectly and was immaculately clean. The staff were friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. We were warmly welcomed at breakfast and dinner. Gluten-free food was kept separate, with bread, cereal, crackers, biscuits and sponge cakes, plus its own toaster. In the main breakfast area there were plenty of meats, fruit, drinks and the usual continental choices. Bus stops in both directions are just a short walk away, but buses weren’t very punctual and were busy when they arrived. Town is about a 15-minute walk, either along the lakeside by steps or a slope, or along the fairly level road. The EuroSpar is nearby too for snacks, and there’s a fridge in the room.

We stayed in July 2025 through Tui and would definitely return. The hotel is beautiful, well cared for and very clean, with lovely people running it and very kind staff. There’s a small pool with sunbeds, plus a rooftop terrace reached by the lift on the third floor. The roof also has a hot tub spa, a nice way to cool down. Parking is available, though I didn’t use it since I had no car.
