The building has been renovated nicely, while still keeping the character of its history. Getting around is easy from here: it sits between the train station and city center, with access by car, bus, or train, and both the center and Therme from Meran are a quick walk away. Service was great, breakfast was a nice offering, and Wi-Fi is available.

The breakfast included with the stay was both filling and really good, and the hotel itself felt lovely and peaceful. I booked one of their single “attic” rooms, which was surprisingly roomy, with fresh renovations and nice furniture. It’s an easy five-minute stroll from both the station and the town’s main square. I’d happily stay here again when I’m back in Merano/Merano.

I was here for three nights in December, and everything worked out perfectly. The interiors were lovely, breakfast was very nice, and the staff were friendly. I can’t recommend it enough.

The staff are friendly and really helpful, and breakfast was good, especially the proper espresso and cappuccino. Still, for an old hotel the price feels very high, and the rooms aren’t worth more than half of what they charge. Merano seems expensive everywhere, though. Maybe stay somewhere outside the city instead.
