The breakfast buffet was huge, with homemade apple juice, other juices, different breads in small portions so you can try several, jams, nuts, dried berries, and fruit that changed each day. There’s a coffee machine, hot water, and a wide choice of teas. You can cook an egg yourself or order a fried egg, omelet, or scrambled eggs, freshly made and brought to the table. The cake and croissants were delicious too. We had a big, comfy bed, great sound insulation, and a huge balcony with a lovely view. The bathroom had a bidet, a roomy shower, and a large sink with space for skincare things. For two people we got ten towels, a bathrobe, and cute slippers. It was very clean, and the cleaning staff were friendly. The pool and spa area are beautiful, especially the garden around the pool. The pool is very large and has a small whirlpool feature. I didn’t try the sauna, but the quiet room has an amazing view and lots of plants. It’s a lovely spot to relax and read. The hotel sits at the end of the road, quite isolated, but that made it feel safe, especially at night. Getting into the city takes a little while, though you mostly stay on one road, and there are great restaurants nearby. There’s also free bike lending right at the hotel. One downside: the nearby entrance and exit to the famous hiking trails were closed, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere. We had to go much farther to get onto the trail and back down, adding around 50 minutes. Still, I’d absolutely come again and recommend it.
