Hotel Juliane

We had a room with a balcony, and the hotel is dog friendly. The staff were super nice, breakfast on the terrace was great, and drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. There’s a lovely pool with a mountain view. It’s a beautiful place tucked away 1.5 km from downtown Merano. We couldn’t stay another night, sadly, but may come back.

The service, food, and staff are outstanding, and you’re treated like a personal guest of the family. The hotel is spotless and kept to a very high standard, with a comfortable, classy style even if it’s a bit out of date. The rooms, balconies, and views aren’t the most modern, biggest, or grandest, but that didn’t matter much to me. Breakfast is really good, and you can ask for cappuccino or egg dishes at no extra cost. There’s a lovely garden with comfy sunbeds in both shade and sun. On sunny days the outdoor pool is a bonus, and the indoor pool is a good size and nice to use when it rains. It’s a pleasant walk to the city center and very close to the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. I’ll definitely come back. I recommend it if you value personal service and a family-like atmosphere.

We’ve just come back from our fourth family stay at Hotel Juliane, and we’re already looking forward to next year. The food is exceptional, the pools and gardens are stunning, and every detail gets careful attention. The service is personal and outstanding, and they treat us like family. The quality is unrivaled and feels more like what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel.

We spent one night in this lovely hotel on a residential street. There are several places to lounge, including beside the swimming pool, and the comfortable rooms are a plus. Breakfast is included in the price and has a good range of choices. Rates come in three tiers depending on the time of year.
