Prinz Rudolf Smarthotel

The pool was great, but dinner was a real disappointment. Over half the menu was pizza, yet when we tried to order one, they couldn’t serve it. After dinner arrived, we didn’t see the waitresses again for drinks, dessert, or even the bill. By the time someone came and we asked for dessert, the kitchen had already closed. The highlight was the tortellinis, four pieces for €20, which felt like very little food for the price. Quote: “44 Americans in the pool 🆘”

We stayed with our camper at this well-run, immaculate campsite, and the view was fantastic. The toilets and showers are built like a bomb shelter, so you can use them at any time overnight without disturbing anyone. At reception, we found a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The view is amazing throughout the hotel, and we were delighted by the service during our stay this week. We hadn’t expected the five-course dinner to be so excellent. It really blew us away.

The restaurant was amazing: dinner 10/10 and breakfast 10/10. Location 9/10, rooms 8/10, beds 10/10, cleanliness 5/10, sauna/wellness 6/10, pool 8/10, staff 4/10, overall 7,8/10. It’s a stylish hotel, and the bus right outside takes you to the city center in 10 minutes, free with the guest card. We’d come back for dinner, but stay somewhere else overnight. The carpets in the halls were dirty, we got dirty towels twice, once with lipstick and once with dark stains, there were spiderwebs in the entrance hall and overflowing bins in the wellness area. The elevator and hallways smelled strange, and there was long brown hair on the bathroom floor, even though we both have short hair. The wellness staff were very rude, which is what I remember most. The staff in general were impolite and not hospitable.
