The owner was friendly and the place was clean, but it was cold no matter what we tried. We had booked expecting a private bathroom, and there wasn't one. There are two rooms, and we were the only guests, though that isn't the point.

We came for a friend's wedding and had a great stay. The owner, Silvia, is a wonderful person, and we'd happily come back. Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice TV and a comfortable wardrobe. The bed and pillows were good too. The large bathroom had everything we could need, even face creams and a hair dryer with a diffuser. For a simple breakfast, the breakfast room had a fridge, a flat iron, and all the basics. We definitely recommend it. Thanks, Silvia!

The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, from furnishings and utensils to a lovely bathroom. The spacious room and closets were well kept, and we could make breakfast, cook, or have lunch there. Service from the manager was excellent, and he was friendly, polite, and very kind. It's great value for money. The only drawback was parking: we had to find a spot nearby, and the closest available one was a 250-meter walk. There is room in the courtyard, but it's not possible to park there. We had originally planned a weekend in Merate to visit my brother, who had worked there for a few years and had an extra room in his old house. That wouldn't work at his new place, so I found this listing on Booking.com, called to check it was open that day, and booked the room over the phone.
