Casa de' Coronari

I used to live in Rome, so I know how well placed this hotel is. It’s central, close to the main attractions, and in a lovely neighborhood. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with thoughtful details throughout. There was a generous complimentary mini-bar, an espresso machine and milk frother in the room, plus jams, honey, and biscuits. The fresh, plush towels and Ferragamo toiletries were a nice touch. The staff made the stay memorable. Edward was kind and professional from the start, and quickly sorted out a small problem with our room key and hot water, all with a smile. Good location, great amenities, and such attentive service are a rare combination. I’ll be back, and I’ve already recommended it to friends. Don’t hesitate to book!

The bathroom has a strange transparent window facing the entrance door. The toilet flush is very weak and takes several tries. The window opens onto a wall, so there’s basically no window. There’s no elevator, and the stairs are very narrow.

The location is a 10/10. Piazza Navona and the pantheon are under ten minutes away, while the Vatican and colosseum are an easy half-hour walk. Inside, the boutique hotel was stunning, and our room was modern, updated, extremely clean, and had a beautiful view. The man at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, and gave us great dinner suggestions. There was loud construction early on the morning we checked out, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. I’d absolutely recommend it and would return.

The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was great. We also loved the cool decor and impressive building, plus the complimentary mini-bar was stocked. The staff were amazingly friendly and went out of their way to make our trip special, even lending us umbrellas when it rained. It’s in a perfect spot, close to plenty of buses, attractions, and shopping, and we got a warm welcome.
