B&B La Corte Degli Spada

The host was especially helpful and super friendly. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was fantastic, warm and welcoming, with all the comforts you could want.

Michela, the owner, is cheerful and quite helpful, and she made a few homemade pastries for breakfast. But the property itself felt dirty and neglected, and she seemed to take little care of it. It’s in Mesagne’s historic center, which makes parking nearly impossible, and public transport can’t reach it on weekends. Cleaning happened every two days and was very superficial. The floors, bathroom tiles, doors, windows, and other surfaces all looked poorly cleaned, if they were cleaned at all. There were at least three inches of dust under the bed, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for months. The towel warmer was disgusting, especially since towels are often put there. We even found hair on the sheets and mold on the mattress. The photos show some of it, and I could have taken many more, but stopped there. Shameful, an absolute failure.

Michela was a fantastic host, so kind, helpful, and welcoming, and she made our lovely weekend possible. My husband, our baby, and I had an amazing time at this B&B last weekend. The location was beautiful, everything was impeccably clean, and breakfast was both generous and varied. We’ll return as soon as we can, and I can see us staying at her place again and again.

The owner was kind, and the place was comfortable and well located. Parking is convenient just outside the city walls, about two minutes from the B&B, and there are excellent restaurants nearby. Everything made for a comfortable stay in this little corner of paradise.
