If zero stars were an option, I’d give that. The problem wasn’t so much the property as the owners’ rudeness. They demanded payment by bank transfer straight away, then kept watching how many kWh we used. On August 15th, they asked us not to do laundry because it would go over the kWh limit, and didn’t even say good morning. If I’m paying, I feel I should be able to use it. Watch out too, they’ll fine you. They first told us we could drive into the historic centre, then quickly changed their minds and said we weren’t allowed. They even said my husband would apparently respond that he didn’t care if we got fines. The day after we were due to check out, Mr. Agostino and his wife verbally attacked us. They got nose to nose with my husband, even though he’d said he didn’t want an argument. They called us primitive as they left. We felt watched all the time, and they were truly rude. There are plenty of other places worth staying at. This one isn’t.

The owners were kind, helpful, and attentive to what guests needed, and the house had recently been renovated with the comforts of a new home, including air conditioning, a new kitchen, and a new bathroom. The apartment is in Mesagne’s historic centre, in a lesser-known town that deserves exploring. It also worked well for us as a base for visiting Salento’s beautiful beaches during the day and enjoying the local shops, open late in the evening. Highly recommended!

Antonella and Agostino were wonderful hosts and gave us such a special welcome in this little corner of paradise, set in an old building in Mesagne’s historic centre. Everything was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and cared for down to the details, at a very affordable price. It’s easy to stroll around the centre and walk to all the nightlife spots. Highly recommended!

A good choice for big families or groups of friends. There are three lovely, clean, spacious, quiet, air-conditioned rooms and a bright shared kitchen. Getting in means climbing about 15 steps on an L-shaped flight. The owners are very helpful. It’s in the historic centre, with parking nearby, and you can reach it by car through the side streets, though not in a camper or a long vehicle.
