Hotel Residence Umberto Primo

It’s absurd, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this residence. People can be heard making noise at night, there’s mold everywhere, and I’m not even getting into everything else. The towels were stained with feces. The kennels are cleaner than this place. I strongly advise against staying here, especially with small children. It’s not even worth one star.

The room felt uncomfortable, with dated furniture, and the building itself seemed run-down. The listing photos gave a different impression, though the place was clean. Getting around from this poorly served area really requires a car, and there’s no guest parking. I wouldn’t consider it suitable for families with children or dogs.

For €75 a night, this was a truly awful stay, and I was glad it was only one night. The room was spacious, which makes the neglect even more of a shame, but cleanliness was nowhere near acceptable. The floor had hair, dust, and stains, and the sheets were dirty and covered in hair. A draft from the bedroom window left the room freezing, and the air conditioning didn’t warm it even though it was on. In the closet I found an old open beer can and a pair of pajamas that could have been there for who knows how long. There wasn’t even basic hand soap in the bathroom. The TV only let me watch one channel because the others kept freezing. The hygiene and service were terrible.

The room was cozy and quiet, and breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff, too. It’s good value for money, and although the hotel isn’t in the most central area, getting to the city center is easy.
