Casa da Carmen Boutique & Private Spa

I’d like to come back for a longer stay. The B&B seems well suited to a holiday too, with larger rooms, and its location is handy for exploring the region’s nature, museums and vineyards. For this quick solo overnight stop, I had the single room at a very reasonable price. It was compact, but cleverly laid out, modern, comfortable and clean, with courtesy items. There’s clear care in the design, decorations and details throughout. The owner Mirko was attentive and friendly. Breakfast felt homely, with a modest selection of good-quality food, several items homemade. I was surprised there wasn’t any fruit, but that was the only downside.

The room was clean and tidy, though it smelled strongly of damp, and there was mold in the shower corners. The so-called “garden view” was a hot tub, which costs extra, along with two chairs and a fence. Breakfast never came. Only after we asked about it the next day were we told the owner wasn’t available and there wouldn’t be any. A few days later, the full amount was still charged to our credit card. We returned to Casa da Carmen at around 10 pm that night and went straight to bed. There was no loud talking or anything else from us. I’ve also now added photos showing how we left the room. There was no chaos or anything, just the key, as you told us.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spotless, with modern furniture and a lovely mountain view. Breakfast was very good, with fresh food, including some homemade things made by the owner's lovely mamma. I can highly recommend the place. People with a severe dog allergy might have some issues, though.

Mezzolombargo is beautiful, with mountains and vine and grape valleys all around. This is the best place to stay ever, thank you so much! The single room was perfect, with its own bathroom. Everything was new and fresh, and breakfast was perfect. 💜
