B&B Tempi Lontani

The owners were wonderful, and the homemade breakfast was lovely. B&B Locandi has a personal, distinctive feel, with a historical building that's kept its character rather than being heavily renovated. The atmosphere is charming, and it was the best place we stayed on our trip to Italy.

We had a filling, rustic dinner on our second night. They also made a special spiced dish for my wife, who traditionally avoids beef, and got the heat just right. The room was huge and clean, with another room above it reached by a spiral staircase that we didn't need. There was also a small lobby where we ate food we'd brought on the first evening. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. It's not ultra-modern, but everything worked. Our room looked onto an inner garden with a pool and hot tub. Not everyone in the family that's owned the place for generations speaks English, but we managed to understand each other. Would I come back? Of course.

The breakfast was carefully put together, and I loved the whole place. At Tempi Lontani, antique furniture, decor, plants, and the beautiful structure give it a magical feel. I'll definitely return. Thank you, Riccardo!

We couldn't use the room at all, even without our children, but the owner charged us in full for two nights. He wouldn't let us stay because the hotel is childfree, although its official website accepts reservations with children. He cancelled our booking and said he'd find another apartment for us the following day where the children could stay. The very next day, I got a message saying there would be no room and “that's all.” I filed for a chargeback. We didn't get what we paid for.
