New generation hostel

The noise from the street came right through the window, and the water was cold. I also found the bed nearly as uncomfortable as sleeping on the floor, and the pillow wasn't much better. You need to bring your own lock for the lockers, and the keys made a lot of noise. I had a disappointing stay and wouldn't recommend this hostel.

I’d definitely recommend the hostel. The rooms were clean, the people were nice, and the location worked well. The only real problem was the broken elevator. I also found the neon lighting in the shared areas, especially on the stairs, a bit awkward, though I know that's down to personal taste. If you're booking through Agoda, its messaging can be messy: replies were delayed, and the check-in link was removed by the server over data protection, so we couldn't check in online. The same thing happened at the New generation hostel in Venice.

The common areas were really dirty, with torn, filthy seating, and the bathroom wasn't clean either. They didn't provide towels or soap. Breakfast was just a coffee and a croissant on tissue paper. Most of the staff came across as angry and rude, except for one young guy working at night. I don't know what they were so upset about. Stay away from this place.

The shared spaces and rooms were really clean and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. There was even a baby foot table. It was our first time staying in a hostel, and my boyfriend and I were unsure about sharing with strangers at first. We ended up making lots of friends from all over the world! ❣️
