Hotel voco Milan - Fiere by IHG

The lifts were the biggest hassle. You have to scan your keycard and select a floor to use them, and sometimes the wait reached 10 minutes. The cards themselves were unreliable too. The hotel is modern and well kept, with cleanliness clearly a priority. Staff were helpful and quick to deal with problems. Rooms were tidy and the beds comfortable. The facilities include a gym, pool, steam room, sauna, and a good breakfast. There's also a small pool and spa area, plus free arcade games and a pool table in the lobby. The train station is a 10-minute walk away, though there's not much around the hotel.

The lifts were a huge, ongoing problem. People queued for 10-15 minutes to get to their rooms, and some walked down 16 floors of stairs. That's unacceptable at this price and for this brand. I paid 385 euros a day for three days on a business trip. The room on the 16th floor was spacious, with a nice bed and pillows. Beyond that, there was little to like. The open shower made the room smell, service in the lobby and restaurant was very slow, and the location was inconvenient and far from everything.

The team at voco Milan made the stay. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and requests were handled impressively quickly. Their professionalism and care for guests really stood out. We'd happily return and recommend the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, with excellent showers, plenty of complimentary toiletries, and nice views. The style is minimalist, but the quality was high. Breakfast didn't offer many options, though what was served was notably good.

The location wasn't quite right for us, and we'd probably choose somewhere closer next time, but we really enjoyed the stay and would return. The food and drinks were a little pricey. Service was consistently very good, and there was lots of artwork that worked well with the building. The pool area was gorgeous, and the rooftop had beautiful, wide views.
