B&B Cuciti

We were so relieved to find this B&B at 11:00 PM, after searching desperately for somewhere for 10 people, including three small children, to sleep. We’d been prepared to settle for anything, even the worst, but the place went far beyond what we expected. The staff were excellent, the property had been completely renovated and felt welcoming, and breakfast was genuinely good, with granita and brioche as a real touch of class. We were very satisfied. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a stop on a trip around beautiful Sicily.

The place looked clean at first, but there was a lot of dust under the bed and along the edges. Breakfast was poor, served at their own café with food from the day before. The owners weren’t very interested in building a cordial relationship with customers and could use an etiquette course. Beginners out of their depth. Not recommended.

We paid €50 per night for two people, for a room with three beds and a sofa. The room and bathroom were clean, and breakfast was at a nearby bar. I’d recommend the place, though there are a couple of drawbacks. My ground-floor room had only a heavy curtain, no shutter. If you need total darkness to sleep, that may be a problem. More than that, I couldn’t open the curtain in the morning without people outside seeing in. Parking is on the street, and sometimes you can’t find a spot very close by.

The B&B is close to the hospital, and there’s very little traffic, so it’s easy to sleep well and relax. The owner is very helpful, the place is clean, and the rooms are spacious and lovely. Breakfast at the bar is a nice extra. I highly recommend it.
