We spent a lot of money for a week and didn’t get a single proper night’s rest. The bed was very uncomfortable, and there were cockroaches in the room. When I raised the insects with the host, they blamed the municipality. Construction noise was another major problem: work went on every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We hadn’t been told before arrival. The host said they hadn’t known, even though they visited the property often, I saw them there, and their cleaner knew about it. They also said they couldn’t make the workers stop, although they had asked. Their reply was that construction happens everywhere and that I could leave if I wanted, with compensation offered as an excuse. That wasn’t the point. I was asking why guests weren’t warned. When I complained about the excessive noise, I got attitude instead of a professional response. You see what people are like when you call them out. I don’t recommend this place because of the owners’ greed.

The cafe around the block that serves breakfast was great, and they even had a gluten-free roll for me. The location is also very good. When we arrived, I realized I’d booked for the following night by mistake. The staff were extremely helpful and managed to correct the date so we could stay that night. Our room was clean and elegant. I’d recommend this B&B if you’re visiting Milazzo.

We finally got a good night’s sleep on Sunday. The owner told us the street partying happens every Saturday, and that’s what we ran into our first night. The whole town seemed to be out clubbing, with loud music from 11:30 p.m. that kept getting louder, almost like a huge nighttime carnival. Even with the windows sealed and shutters closed, we couldn’t sleep. After that long, sleepless night, a street-cleaning truck woke us again at 7:30 a.m. We weren’t greeted by reception when we arrived and got the information only through WhatsApp. The Smart TV had no internet connection, and even after we selected English, it stayed in Italian.

The port is very close, which makes this a great B&B if you need to catch an early Aliscafo to the Eolian islands. Great 👍

The shower had a smell, and the noise made it hard to rest. Late into the night, there was loud music and shouting. In summer, when it’s hot, opening the window for air isn’t really an option because of the noise, so expect a very warm night too. If you’re looking for a party, you’ll be right in the middle of it. For sleep, I’d look elsewhere. Sorry to leave a bad review.
