Eolian Milazzo Hotel

The pools were a big hit with our children, and after sightseeing it was nice to relax and splash around there. We also loved the room's view over the marina and mountains, it was breathtaking. Our room was spotless and very well kept, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities. The staff made a real difference. They were warm and welcoming, spoke English well, and took care of what we needed with genuine attention. Getting to the city center was easy, with restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. From the service to the views and the clean rooms, our stay at the Eolian Milazzo Hotel was fantastic. I'd happily recommend it.

The rooms were spacious, well cared for, air-conditioned and had a great view. The food at breakfast was good, with fruit, bread, ham and cheese, but there was no hot food. We had to help ourselves to the watery filter coffee at the buffet. Italian guests were offered espresso and cappuccinos, while nobody greeted us or offered us coffee. The highly rated restaurant was closed every day. We don't drive, and chose this remote hotel because it was supposed to provide free transfers to Milazzo harbour and the main shopping mall. We were also counting on the impressive pool area and its bar. On arrival we saw a sign saying the pool wouldn't open until August. We checked with the staff, and they confirmed it, even though we'd booked especially for the pool. They didn't seem to understand our concern, and only a few staff members spoke English. When we asked about the transfers, they said the service didn't exist and they didn't take guests to the town center or anywhere else. By then, we were incredibly frustrated.

A lovely place to stay, with really kind and wonderful staff.

The view from our room was spectacular, and the place itself is absolutely gorgeous. The food was okay. I'd hoped for something more traditional instead of so fancy.
