The location made getting around easy: the bus stop is a three-minute walk, with direct buses to Venice in 30 minutes and to Padua. There are also two excellent restaurants nearby, plus a hairdresser, church, ticket kiosk, gelato shop, and a charming store selling Italian fabrics and tablecloths that make nice gifts. Giovanni, the owner and a former university professor, is friendly, highly educated, and always happy to share useful advice. I learned a lot just by talking with him. The rooms are newly renovated and impeccably clean, with roomy, comfortable beds and big walk-in showers. Each has a kettle, fresh fruit, and water in glass bottles, no plastic. Breakfast is delicious and served every day. Parking is available on the property and just outside. We had an excellent stay at Canale Grande B&B and will definitely return.

It was quiet and peaceful, and the bus line made getting to and from central Venice really easy. The hosts were terrific. The home and room were beautiful, clean, and fully renovated, and there's a lovely large garden at the back. Recommended!

Giovani and Ana are so nice, attentive, and friendly. Breakfast was really good and arranged with lots of care. The rooms are well designed and very clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower pressure is great, and the hot water comes right away, as is common in Europe. Wi-Fi is very fast. We'd definitely recommend it.

Our hosts made us feel completely at home, especially Zoe :), and gave us several recommendations for the day we spent in Venice. The building has been beautifully restored, with so much care and thought put into it. This is a really special place with some of the most hospitable hosts I've met. If we come back to the area, we'll absolutely stay here again. Until next time, Grazie Mille!!
