The neighborhood feels like family, and the place gave us the peace and quiet I was looking for. It was clean and new inside, the kitchen worked perfectly for us, the bed was comfortable, and I loved the big towels and windows. The cool night air in summer was lovely too. Ricardo was respectful, affectionate, and ready to help us at any time. We felt at home, and my mom loved the place. There are a few stairs, but she managed them while walking slowly and using her wheelchair. Definitely recommend it, and we'll be back soon. Next time we'll visit Nebrodi. Muchas gracias, Ricardo!

A lovely place to stay if you're in the area. The people are nice and will speak Italian with you even if you don't speak it yourself. Lovely.

The stone courtyard, carefully kept plants, and big Sicilian amphorae made it easy to relax here, whether in the sun or under the evening lights. Guest House La Carretteria sits in a peaceful spot just a short walk from Mistretta's historic center. Its old stone home has been restored with care, keeping its rustic, local character. The rooms are clean and welcoming, furnished simply but thoughtfully. The owner is extraordinarily kind and helpful, and welcomes guests with real affection for his homeland. Between the quiet, the plants, the historic stonework, and the family's genuine hospitality, it felt like home. This is more than just a bed and breakfast, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Mistretta at an unhurried pace. A little gem to remember.
