We were left out on the street in the middle of the night because we couldn’t get into the property. The host was completely unfriendly and stopped answering our messages and calls after we arrived. It was a horrible, stressful experience, and absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

We’d booked two nights and paid in full, but the host wouldn’t let us stay the second night either. We were driving from Bulgaria and road closures made us arrive an hour later than agreed. Without ever having told us the latest check-in time, he suddenly messaged that it was too late, then stopped replying and never came to let us in. We had nowhere to sleep at midnight, and he charged us the full amount as a “no show fee.” Total scammers, stay away. This happened during the Imola GP weekend, when there were no places to stay and prices everywhere were very high. The host knew that and still didn’t show up. Draw your own conclusions.

The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was okay. Some fruit would have been a nice addition. The owners were very nice and helpful, and gave us good suggestions.

The owner was a lovely touch, always kind and available if we needed anything, with useful ideas for places to visit and restaurants to try. The apartment is beautiful, tidy, clean, and fully equipped, right in central Modena on a quiet side street. I highly recommend it.
