The dated facilities are worth the price for a short stay, and the buffet included with the room had a good selection. We were a family of four in a room with one bed and one daybed, which was comfortable and spacious enough for all of us. Our windows opened fully, so it was nice to let in the breeze when it was cooler outside. The pool was chilly and under maintenance during our stay, but we did get to enjoy it once. The bus stop for Modena is a four-minute walk away. Public transport was easy to use because only one line, bus 13, passes the hotel. Staff from the front desk to the food attendants were great. We had to check in late, and someone was there to let us in and give us a room.

The room was very clean, and the location worked perfectly for me since my work took me between the northern and southern parts of the city. I’ve stayed at other hotels, and this seems like the best option. The staff were so kind that they accommodated my mistake on Booking.com, where I’d entered the wrong check-in and check-out dates, without charging anything extra. I’ll see you in six months for sure.

Getting into Modena is the one drawback if you don’t want to drive. The bus was very easy to use, but it doesn’t run very late, and a taxi back from the city cost around 20 Euros. We enjoyed our stay: the pool is fabulous, and the staff are professional and friendly. There was a problem with our room, but it was fixed straight away with no fuss.

Breakfast was decent, and the service staff were very good. The walls are thin enough that you can hear toilets flushing and people having normal conversations in the next rooms. Still, the overall quality is good if you get a good room. I’m from the U.S. and have had a very enjoyable stay.

There’s an excellent restaurant on the hotel grounds, although it’s run separately. Breakfast is included and very good, with lots of choice. We’re always greeted warmly, and the rooms are large and very clean.
