I’d put it somewhere between three and four stars. The staff were nice and worked hard, especially the waiters and bartenders. The gardens are beautiful and well kept, the beach is pleasant with clear water, and there were enough umbrellas and loungers. Our superior room was spacious, the Sicilian food in the restaurant was tasty, and it’s a child-friendly place. Food timings were awkward: lunch and dinner each lasted only two hours, so it could be hard to make it in time. If you miss lunch, the snack offering is too limited to keep you going until almost 8 pm. There’s no lunch at the pool bar, so you have to go to the restaurant, and there’s no beach bar either. The hotel bar also shuts for long stretches during the day, when you can’t even get water. The food selection is limited, and the all-inclusive offering varies by guest, with an insufficient menu. Our room wasn’t always cleaned well. Some receptionists had limited English. Sharp stones along the outside edges of the sidewalks seemed dangerous, especially in a hotel full of children.

We were really happy with the food: fresh fish every day, plus pizza or pasta and wine. The staff were experienced, polite, and still full of energy in September. Since the hotel is older and sits on a large, isolated property with no nearby hotels, the beach stays empty, and the setting feels calm and secure. I don’t often say I’d go back somewhere, but I would here.

The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms, a small fridge, and a balcony. In-room Wi-Fi costs extra; the free connection is in or near the lobby, but you have to get a two-hour code from reception, where the queues can be long. It’s a well-equipped resort with a beautiful private beach, and the buffet in the large restaurant is generally excellent, with lots of choice. Most guests come as part of groups, and the service you get depends on the tour company that arranged your stay. The different wristband colors indicate which bar extras you’re entitled to, and that got a bit annoying. Staff speak Italian and French, as many guests arrive with French tour groups. There’s little help available in English, though signs and written notices are provided in English.

A great place to stay. The pool was wonderful, the bedroom was really big, and the buffet had loads of meal choices. Lovely people and great service, and the animators were so welcoming. Just a nice place to be.

A child-friendly spot with an excellent pool and beach. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were superb.
