Pietre Nere Resort

One of the best resorts and spas. Everything was perfectly clean, including the pool and pool area. Breakfast was fantastic, and parking was easy with shaded tents. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke English. Beach towels were provided, and there’s a gym for anyone who likes to keep fit. Spa and massages are available.

The warmth of the staff is what stayed with me most, from the smiling reception team to housekeeping, whose cleanliness and efficiency were impeccable. At dinner, our waiter was genuinely keen to make sure we enjoyed our meal. The food throughout was a treat, with fresh breakfasts and a BBQ lunch. The resort itself is scenic, and its quiet pool and rejuvenating spa made it easy to relax. Communication before we arrived was quick and effective, and the team’s polite, attentive approach really did make it feel like a home away from home. Our room was cozy and comfortable, though there was some minor wear, including in the bathroom. The gym had adequate equipment, but could use more cooling and a couple more mats. Wifi could be stronger outside reception, and the rooms could use modern outlets for today’s gadgets and several devices. Those are small issues beside the staff’s care and the dining, and I hope they’ll iron out the remaining kinks. I’d gladly recommend Pietre Nere Resort & Spa and give it a stellar rating.

Anastasia and her team did a brilliant job when our group’s plans fell apart. We’d booked a local tour guide independently for a special birthday, but were let down, so they stepped in and rescheduled everything perfectly. We’ll definitely recommend the resort and come back. From the friendly, helpful reception to the relaxed yet attentive food and beverage staff, everyone created a great vibe. The spa was perfectly clean, and the rooms and pool area were beautiful. Anastasia and her team are outstanding, and nothing seems too much trouble.

The resort is modern, stylish and clean, with large modern rooms and friendly staff. Dinner was good value, with four courses, and breakfast was extensive and lovely. The area just outside the resort isn’t very spectacular, but nearby Modica is nice.
