The room was lovely, clean and well looked after, with a little balcony over one of Modugno’s cosy narrow streets. The host was on hand whenever we had questions, and room service was available. There was also an electric kettle for tea or coffee. Bari is 20 minutes away by train. A few things could be better: the breakfast was basically a pastry and cappuccino, with nothing nutritious, and we wished there were plates and cutlery so we could eat a sandwich or takeaway pizza. The shower mat had hair on it despite the rest of the cleanliness. Still, it was a pleasant stay.

We had a lovely four-night stay at Dimora Elizabeth. They picked us up from the airport and drove us back when we left, and kept in touch all week to check that we had what we needed. The room was nice and had towels, a fridge, a hair dryer and everything else we needed. Breakfast was a croissant and coffee at a bar nearby. Getting there by car could be tricky because it’s in a pedestrian area. We used public transport to get to Bari, then on to Polignano, Monopoli and elsewhere. The station near the hotel was under construction, so we had to use the farther one, but travelling was still quick and easy.

The owners were so kind, and the room was just right for our two nights. It’s well situated, though you do need to take a train to get to Bari. Breakfast was good and served at a local café close by.

Denni really made us feel at home. He was thoughtful throughout our stay, checking that we had what we needed and sharing useful tips about things to see and places to eat nearby. That kind of genuine care made the visit special. The B&B itself is beautiful, with comfortable rooms that are spotless and tastefully furnished. A great choice if you want more than just somewhere to sleep.
