We picked this hotel mainly for a week of skiing, so the small drawbacks didn’t bother us much. The view from our room was lovely, the ski storage was handy, and there’s plenty of parking. The ski bus stop is very close too. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. Breakfast was very good, with pancakes and omelets made on request. Dinner tasted good, though it was saltier than I like, and there was no half-board option. The rooms had comfortable beds and most of the essentials, but the walls between apartments are thin enough that you might hear the neighbors. Ours happened to be quiet. There’s no fridge, and space would be tight if you wanted to cook or eat meals in the room. Families should know that children have few activities beyond a small ground-floor room for board games. A few more things for kids would be a good investment if the owners want to attract more families. We’d recommend the nearby Alpe Lusia ski area, which was fantastic.

The restaurant was a real highlight, both for the service and the food. Breakfast had a huge range, including omelets, crepes and pancakes made to order. We also loved the fixed-price six-course dinner with its surprise “Chef's Choice” dishes. The staff were lovely, and our room was clean, cozy and well kept, though a little small. It had a nice balcony and a good view.

The spa was pleasant for unwinding as a couple after skiing, though it felt a little expensive for what was included. La Serenella has a lift to the rooms, and the ski bus for San Pelligrino and Alpe Luisa stops just up the street. It’s also a short walk into town. The staff were delightful, and breakfast had great choices, including omelettes and crepes. There’s a free open-air parking lot across the street, or paid underground parking.

Lovely views and great staff, and parking across the road was easy. Small cars can use the underground parking for an extra charge. The spa is worth booking, and this is a great base for exploring. The restaurant was just okay, though. A few dishes weren’t tasty, despite what the reviews say.
