Villa Passalacqua

We left Passalacqua feeling so well looked after, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The whole team made the evening feel warm, genuine, and effortless. Thank you to Alessandro, Matteo, Maria, Amerigo, Said, Claudio, Milo, Abdul, Kara, and Luca for taking such good care of us. Simone deserves special thanks too. Since our first stay in 2023, he has looked after us each year with such warmth and attention. This time he arranged a beautiful setting, and we especially loved our time in the wine cellar, learning about the selection in such a personal way. What makes Passalacqua stand out is how consistent it is. We return and find familiar faces who remember us so thoughtfully, a rare kind of hospitality even at the most exceptional places. It was one of the most memorable dining experiences of our lives.

The gardens are awe-inspiring, and this property is an amazing gem. Greg and his staff made us feel like family and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Be sure to see the spa and the tunnels leading to the indoor pool. Book a massage with Cristiano too. His massages were so good we booked another for the next day, and they were probably among the best we’ve ever had. Valeria at the front desk helped with so many reservations, while Valeria at the outdoor pool brought so much hospitality and joy. Can’t wait to book another stay at Passalaqua!

The property is beautiful and the staff are friendly, but they didn’t handle the table well. I went to the bathroom, and when I came back, other guests had taken my table and moved my bag without asking. That felt a bit much for a place calling itself the world’s best 😅😅. It all happened while staff were absent.

Is this the world’s best hotel? Yes. I toured all the rooms and suites as a travel professional, not as a guest, and I’m free to form my own opinion. Everything I saw was stunning, each room handcrafted and unique, with luxury taken to the limit. It feels like an oasis suited to its location. The staff and management are wonderful, and despite the awards and status, there’s a genuine family feeling. They take pride in the project and seem to love their work. Sometimes that’s what makes a stay feel perfect, whatever the setting or level of luxury.
