Du Lac Vital Mountain Hotel

We really enjoyed our three-night stay and would gladly come back. The staff were all friendly, and breakfast had plenty of variety. We also ate dinner at the hotel, and the food was good. Our Mirtilli room was at the back of the hotel, number 312. It was spacious, with a big bathroom that had everything: a large shower, toilet, bidet and wide sink. The king-size bed was comfortable, and the balcony looked toward the mountains and another hotel. It was very quiet at night. The welcome staff wear lovely dirndls, and you immediately feel at ease in the typical Trentino-style hotel. We skied nearby, taking the gondola up the mountain in Andalo. The hotel’s ski bus was included in the price, and we could arrange when to leave and when to be picked up. That felt very luxurious.

The lake is only a three-minute walk away. Our room was really nice, and the outdoor areas were beautiful. The pool was lovely, and the gym felt new, with good machines and dumbbells. Breakfast was nice, and the desserts were very good. There’s a machine where you can make your own fruit and vegetable shakes. Staff ask if you’d like coffee, and you can order scrambled eggs or a fried egg for free.

We spent a lovely week here and would happily recommend the hotel. The staff were wonderful, the food was superb, and the lounge and bar made a nice place to relax. There’s a pleasant pool with plenty of chairs and sunbeds, and the views over the lake and mountains are beautiful. It’s just a short walk into town. Our room, 205, was lovely, with a nice en suite and a great balcony view. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the dull, earthy green on the walls. It made the room feel a little gloomy for my taste.

We spent a week at Hotel Du Lac and enjoyed every day. It’s a great base for hikes and trips to a few other cities, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. There’s also a nice restaurant and a calm swimming pool. 🙏
