I've been to the Solander a la carte restaurant three times, and after what happened today, I won't go back. The food has always been tasty, and we'd been satisfied with it each day. The waiter was usually friendly too. This time, after bringing our appetizers, he suddenly hit me on the head with his tray. I still can't believe it. He tried to explain that it was the day of something and that's why he did it, but his English was poor and I couldn't understand him. How does someone get hit on the head in a restaurant in Italy? If it had been an accident, I would have expected an apology, but he didn't apologize in English or Italian. As we were leaving, I raised it with him again, and he just repeated that it was the day of something and they do this to guests there. Absurd. I don't expect a different response from the manager. You don't want to damage the restaurant's reputation, that's obvious, but sometimes admitting a mistake is better than trying incompetently to cover it up. You should learn how to handle situations like this with guests. I've never experienced such rude behavior in a restaurant, and I still can't think what the real reason for it was.

The facilities, food, and service were all outstanding, and we had a fantastic time. Thanks to the Rifugio Solander team! We're already looking forward to visiting again next year.

The SPA was a highlight, modern, varied, and set up with an incredible view. The hotel is also in a great spot for taking in the scenery and getting to the area's ski slopes. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making it easy to enjoy the overnight stay.

With 150 km of piste nearby, the location was great, and we had the crew, food, snow, and blue sky too. Truly amazing. I’ll definitely be back for more.

The server made us feel welcome, even though we arrived just 15 minutes before closing. I had the ossobuco, which was tender and delicious, and the strudel was great, much juicier than the others I tried on our trip to Italy. It did feel a little overpriced next to other Hüttes.
