Residence camping Atlantide

Each visitor gets their own space in these well-organized campsite sections. In August, it cost 51 euros for two people, a small tent, and a small car, a Fiat 500. Showers cost extra, 50 cents for a couple of minutes. The pool is included, though with a rocky beach just across the road, who'd use it? ;)

The facilities, including the toilets and showers, looked old and shabby, and the pool they'd promised was completely empty, though we still paid full price. There's a busy road between the campsite and the beach, so you don't get direct access. Around 7:30 in the morning, they started mowing right beside the site, which was very loud. Worst camping experience I've had. I wouldn't come back, not even for a stopover.

Pinot looked after us and was really helpful. He speaks very good English, which made things easier since most of the others speak only Italian. The campsite has a great pool and a little mini market for supplies, though nearly all the nearby beaches are rocky. My parents stayed in a basic unit that had most of what they needed, including cooking gear, pans and plates, and a comfortable bed. It's a good base for Alberobello and ostuni.

My room was clean and roomy enough, with a small kitchen and mini fridge. There’s security at night, and you can pay by card for everything except the tassa di soggiorno, which is 2-3 euros. The campsite has its own pool and bar, plus a small shop selling local Puglia foods like taralli, cheese, and wine. The best part is the setting, right across the street from the sea and a Roman swimming pool.
