The owner was nice and helpful, and the apartment itself was pleasant overall. It has two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and balcony with amazing views of both the city and the sea. The kitchen is well equipped, though the counter is small and some equipment was missing. We managed fine without those few things. The wall pictures don’t really go together. The biggest issue was cleanliness: the kitchen counter was greasy and dirty, as were the floor and bathtub. The toilet seat didn’t fit, and the tank refilled very slowly. With more attention to cleaning, this could be a much better place. It’s near the center of Monopoli and a short walk from the sea, on the fourth floor, with either stairs or an elevator. There are shops nearby and a weekly market on Tuesdays where locals sell clothes, furniture, and other things. We also happened to see a football event at the stadium near the flat.
