Terracielo Guest House

The room was lovely, clean and well equipped, and check-in was easy. Still, we left after the first night of our two-night stay because the lower-level room in the old town felt too damp and musty. Even clothes we hadn't worn felt damp, despite no rain for days. Maybe that's part of the old-town charm, but it wasn't for us. Everything else was perfect, though I'd recommend a dehumidifier.

The room didn't get much daylight, but it did feel like an authentic old-town stay. We especially liked the cute rooftop terrace and its little kitchenette. When we asked for extras, like beach towels, they were available right away.

Quiet and cozy, this little nest is right in the heart of Monopoli. The bedroom is small but well laid out, with a bubble tub, a great bed and pillows, a nice shower bathroom, coffee machine and small fridge. The landlady was always available when we needed something, and went out of her way to find safe parking for my motorbike.

We only had four days in this little gem and wished we'd stayed longer. The apartment has great air conditioning and everything we needed, right by the cathedral in the old town. The little beach is a two-minute walk away, and everything else is close too. In the evenings, the rooftop terrace is lovely and cool, with the sounds of the town drifting by. The owner was very friendly and waited patiently when our arrival was delayed. I'd absolutely recommend it and will definitely return.
