The rooms were pleasant and very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was served in the wine cellar by a very friendly woman, and we enjoyed it. The price is good for the region, although there isn’t much of interest in the village. What bothered us was the noise: the room has no sound insulation, so we heard every conversation and sound from nearby rooms and the corridor.

The biggest disappointment for us was the pool. It’s at least 250 meters away, you have to cross traffic to reach it, and it doesn’t open until 2pm. That bothered us quite a bit because the description said otherwise, and the pool was a major reason we chose this hotel. The air conditioning does bring the temperature down, but slowly, and the airflow could be much stronger. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds and a great shower with plenty of water pressure. Breakfast was really good, with lots of choice, a fresh juice machine, any kind of coffee you want, and very friendly staff. The staff were helpful overall, though reception wasn’t often staffed and there was no bell to ring. It wasn’t a big problem, just a little odd. There’s a Michelin recommended restaurant next door, and the food was amazing. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but Alba is nearby and a lovely town with great shops and restaurants. I recommend visiting.

A little gem, with lovely, very clean rooms and courteous service. It’s in a nice spot just steps from the weekend market, and there’s a cafe/ restaurant attached. Highly recommended.

A neat, clean room in a cute B&B in Monta d'Alba, right by a nice restaurant. Just keep in mind that most shops and restaurants close early.
