Affittacamere La Torre

We were here for three nights in September 2023. Breakfast was included, good, and plentiful, and restaurants are just a short walk away. The rooms were very clean and the AC worked well. It’s a good location, but expect to walk and climb, with no elevator and about a ten-minute walk to parking. Call ahead with your arrival time, since nobody is usually there, though they’ll come when you call.

Right in the historic heart of Montalcino, which was fabulous. The attentive women who take care of the hotel also look after the café where breakfast is served. A great place to enjoy the famous Brunello di Montalcino.

The room was nice and the location made it easy to explore town on foot. We came for one night, and parking was the main hassle. You have to leave the car at the edge of town and walk in, up to five minutes. We were lucky the manager spotted us coming up, since someone has to unlock the front door before you can get inside.

Antonio was friendly and knew the area well. The old building is right in the historic center of Montalcino, with cafés, restaurants, and shops only a minute away. Our accommodation was spacious, warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. There’s also a shared kitchen and a lovely shared courtyard outside.
