The restaurant is superb, and they’ll park your car for just 10 euros a night. Breakfast was OK, though. Room #9 was small but had a great view, and the A/C worked really well. There’s no lift, so be ready for plenty of stairs. This lovely historic hotel is right in the heart of Montalcino. Rebekah and the owners were wonderful hosts, always keeping an eye out for what we needed.

We had a room with an amazing terrace and a comfortable bed. The bathroom had natural travertine stone, and the hotel is stunning, right in town with a GREAT panoramic view.

After a full day driving from Florence, I had a hard time finding the hotel by car. There’s basically one way into that street, and the map apps sent me down narrow roads that aren’t suitable for a car, so don’t rely on them. Once I arrived, the staff whisked my car away to park. My quaint room had excellent upgrades and spectacular views. I had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, a great choice. The food and service were fantastic, and the wines were awesome. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic too. One of the better hotel stays I had in Italy, and I’d stay again anytime I’m in the area.

Do not stay here. They’re scammers. I booked two nights and was charged twice after they said my card hadn’t gone through, so I paid cash. The breakfast was horrible, and the elderly couple who run the place and their daughter were awful at customer service. The AC/heat didn’t work, and the room had a very humid stench. They scratched my car too. You can’t park it yourself, so you have to trust them with it.
