The view from the hill was fantastic, and there’s a lovely little town nearby. The owner, Alessandro, was so kind. Wonderful place!

Colombaio in Colle isn’t the place to book if you’re after luxury or opulence. Its charm is in the small, old-fashioned details and the authentic feel of the place. The host welcomes you into his home with real care, and the courtesy and incredible cleanliness stood out. The breakfast could be improved, though. For a genuinely quiet stay in an authentic Tuscan farmhouse, this is a lovely little gem.

The farmhouse sits among greenery with beautiful surroundings and stunning views. It’s not especially close to the center of Montalcino, but it works very well as a base for day trips. Prices are reasonable, and the welcome feels genuine.

Beautiful panoramic setting, only a few hundred meters from Colle Sant'Angelo. The place is simple but very well cared for. Alessandro was kind and quick to reply to my WhatsApp messages and questions when I arrived.

Alessandro greeted us with genuine warmth. We stayed in a farmhouse in a peaceful spot with lovely views, and it was convenient for trips to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo and Montalcino.
