Residence Brizio

The grounds have plenty of quiet corners to relax in, plus a tennis court and a gorgeous pool. We had stunning sunsets right outside our room window. There’s also a spa with a steam room, dry sauna, and hot tub, where you can sip tea or water while unwinding. Our room was huge and very comfortable, with a king size bed, soft bedding and duvets, and a bathroom with a soaker tub, shower, towel warmer, robes, and slippers. It felt like every little detail had been considered. Breakfast was the best we had on our three week trip in Italy. Sara looked after us so well, and she was sweet, knowledgeable, and full of helpful ideas for nearby areas to explore. The spread had flaky, soft croissants, fresh eggs, yogurt, cheeses, meats, fruit, fresh juice, and coffee. The chef is incredible, and the food was some of the best we had. In the evening, Vitto served us an incredible Florentine steak dinner. The meal and service were absolutely divine.

We spent four days at Podere Brizio and they flew by. The dinners were excellent, with food, wine, ambience, and service we really enjoyed. Sara was friendly and attentive at breakfast, which was always good, and Mohan was very friendly and helpful too. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We didn’t have time to use the tennis courts or spa, and April was too cold for the pool. The agritourismo produces Brunello di Montalcino and olive oil. Vito was like a Man Friday and helped us with everything. I’d definitely go back and recommend it without reservation.

I was blown away when I arrived. The photos on Expedia hadn’t impressed me, and I’d assumed it would be just another old building, but the place turned out to be elegant and thoughtfully designed. The rooms have the latest technology, so the stay felt both comfortable and very modern. From the décor to the bathroom floor tiles, all the details are beautiful. The manager and staff clearly put a lot of care into everything and really strive for perfection. This hotel is a hidden gem in Tuscany, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The wine from the vineyard on the property was fantastic. After our stay, we traveled around Tuscany and saw Brunello Montalcino served in lots of restaurants through Italy, which shows how good it is. Vito was an incredible host, and I highly recommend staying for dinner. It was some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had. The whole experience was incredible.
