We’re very unhappy with this hotel. The way they handle customers doesn’t feel professional, so we can’t recommend staying here.

The receptionist was welcoming, professional, and helpful, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast is served at their restaurant 200 meters away. It didn’t feel inconvenient, and the short morning walk was actually nice. The B&B also has an arrangement with the parking lot 200 meters away, so you don’t have to pay, which is a great idea given the cost of parking.

The historic-center location is excellent and quiet, just opposite the Montalcino fortress. The owner was friendly and welcoming, breakfast was excellent, and the price was fair. Our large rooms and bathrooms were clean. The furnishings are antique but work well, though the old, worn bathroom fixtures had various problems with the shower, toilet, and bidet.

The receptionist was so kind and answered all my questions expertly. My room was cool and quiet, with exposed beams, and the hotel is right opposite the fortress. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Montalcino.
