Le 7 Camicie

We spent five days here in September 2023 and would love to return. Our brown house apartment felt rustic and traditional, with lovely high stone ceilings and attractive decor. It was spacious throughout: the bedroom had a large, very comfortable bed, and the clean bathroom had a big shower. The kitchen was well equipped with a hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer, plus the pans, glasses and other basics we needed. Our apartment also had a private garden facing the pool and the views, with two sunbeds and a table, so we ate breakfast there and swam in the mornings, usually with the pool to ourselves. It was clean, cool and refreshing, and open from 10am to 7pm. The jacuzzi wasn’t working during our visit, but that didn’t really bother us. The owners live on site and were extremely helpful and friendly. They don’t speak English, but we got by without any trouble. Parking was ample, on a well-built gravel lot, and the cars were sheltered. On arrival we got starter supplies, including dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls. After those ran out, we had to replace them ourselves. Towels were changed weekly. We also had to take our rubbish out each day to keep insects and animals away. There aren’t bins on site, but a little over five minutes down the road to the left there are bins on the right. It wasn’t a big inconvenience for us. The area is very quiet and felt more upscale than a three-star place. It was private too, with about two other couples staying there besides us and the owners. A convenience shop or supermarket is around a 20-minute drive away, along a lovely route through the hills. There are plenty of restaurants and vineyards within a 30-minute drive, and booking ahead is definitely a good idea. The winding road nearby is quiet and has great views. Florence is about two hours and twenty minutes away by car, apparently much quicker than taking the train, and you’re based in Val D'orcia, with plenty of other places within reach. We got engaged on this trip, and this beautiful, romantic place was the perfect base for our days exploring Tuscany. We fell in love with le 7 camicie and Tuscany. A real hidden gem, 5/5, and we’ll absolutely be back.

You can really unwind here, with outstanding views all around. I loved everything about this hotel. It’s an amazing place.

The owner was so nice, and the rooms were comfortable and pleasant. The views are wonderful too.

The location is superb, and the terme pool was great.
