Paola and her staff were remarkably honest, precise, and helpful. After we’d left Tuscany, we realized near Bologna that we’d forgotten cash and personal documents at Paola's house. We got home and later recovered everything through DHL and a money transfer, thanks to Poala. That level of care says a lot about the place. During our stay, Paola was attentive and ready with tips and whatever support we needed, and communication with the owner was excellent. The houses are cozy, in a typical Tuscany style, with gardens, a pazio, and a fabulously clean swimming pool. Podere Ampella sits in the heart of the beautiful Val d'Orcia, close to many natural, cultural, and artistic sights, including several UNESCO heritage sites. I can recommend staying there in every respect.

The owners were quick to respond and helpful throughout. We had a fabulous stay in our rental house, with lots of room, gorgeous views, and a beautiful pool. I’d highly recommend it for a Tuscany vacation rental.

A quiet, comfortable private retreat above one of the most beautiful valleys on the planet. It’s a place where dreams of Tuscany can come true.

The biggest drawback is how far the house is from everything. We’d hoped to walk to nearby towns, but gave up because there are no paths in the area, or at least we couldn’t find any. Hiking and cycling mean using the country road, where local drivers go fast. The house itself is in a group of 6-8 homes, staggered so each has a view and a garden or terrace with privacy. The house has a lovely view too, and a fenced garden where dogs or small children can run freely. The pool area is tidy and well cared for, with a couple of pavilions and 8-10 sunbeds. We had it to ourselves for the whole stay. The nearest 22kw charging station is in San Giovanni dAsso, the neighboring town, and works with the Enel X way app.
