The grounds are lovely, but our holiday was made stressful and unpleasant by Patrizia's behavior. The manager/owner came across as arrogant and condescending from the start. When we arrived, still in the car with our luggage, baby and dog, we asked where to park. She pointed to a roadside sign saying “parking” and repeated the word, even though its arrow pointed left and she meant straight ahead. When I asked for a fan because the room was very hot in summer and had no AC, she told me to shut the windows to keep the heat out, as old brick houses work that way. I felt talked down to again. There were no mosquito nets in the rooms or elsewhere. The advert had highlighted that there were no mosquitos, but we did encounter some. Not loads, but enough that nets would have been useful, also because of the lizards/geckos and spiders. We also weren't told that the dog had to stay with us all the time and couldn't be left alone in the room. There was a fenced area, but it was often in strong sun. This limited our freedom, and other guests had the same problem. Dinner was compulsory as part of the room booking, and we didn't think it was good. Everyone was unhappy with the food. After a few days of bad meals and a tense atmosphere, there was a cocktail night with only Aperol spritz available. Once people had had a few drinks, they joked about the bad experiences. Patrizia overheard and was very offended, but didn't come down to talk it through. In the following days she didn't greet the guests and didn't provide the usual breakfast options, so there was basically no food the next morning. When a guest was leaving, they gave her feedback about these issues, including ones I'd also raised. She became defensive and aggressive, answered in an arrogant way, and even called the guest “coglioni,” a proper insult. She refused to refund us for the remaining days when we suggested leaving. We may not have been the best guests, and by “we” I mean all 20 people, who had never bet before, but we certainly weren't the worst. We didn't deserve this treatment for the money we paid. Hospitality should mean being polite and kind, even when guests are wrong. Patrizia's unprofessional conduct ruined our holiday. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Patrizia, the property is nice, but no better than other ordinary agriturismos in the area. There's plenty of room to improve, and a little modesty would help. Repeating “meravigliosa” about every little thing comes off as smug.

We arrived at 9pm to find our confirmed, booked room had been given to someone else, with no warning. Patrizia, the owner, made no alternative arrangements, and we were left with nowhere to stay. A month later, the refund still hadn't been processed. I believe she may be running a scam with some less scrupulous booking providers, knowing complaints will get lost in the dispute process. Avoid this place. Agrincontri is very close, and I recommend it.

If you want a bad time, go there. The interior is really ugly, in my opinion.

Lovely host and a great place in a beautiful part of the country.

Campo al Vento Country Farm gave our work group a lot more than a place to stay during our experiential workshop. It felt like stepping into a quiet, nature-filled corner where time slows down and you remember to breathe. Peace, silence, greenery and a real sense of authenticity. Patrizia's breakfasts were a treat, especially the plum cakes and homemade cakes. The food was genuine, carefully made and truly good. Patrizia herself is unconventional, eccentric and one of a kind. As you get to know her, you see how authentic and passionate she is, with so much knowledge, so many stories and so much love for what she creates in her little paradise. She doesn't put on an act. She's simply herself. This isn't a typical “perfect” agriturismo, and that's part of its charm. Campo al Vento has soul, character and presence. Leaving, I felt we'd experienced something, not just slept somewhere beautiful. Thank you for welcoming our group to this peaceful corner 🌾 Raffaella
