The staff were especially upsetting after a leak, which they seemed not to have taken care of properly. We were moved to a colder, narrower, dirtier room, and nobody apologized. They were rude. The place is incredibly bad. The hotel is old and the room was cold because it hadn’t been heated. The doors scrape the floor, the locks are poor, and the shower room is cramped. The floors, furniture, and bedding were messy, with dust and mold. The restaurant and breakfast were terrible too. There are no stores nearby, and tourist spots are far away, so getting around is difficult unless you’re on a group tour with a bus. I was on a group tour and had no choice, but I never want to stay here again.

The staff were great during my stay and even helped me get some belongings back after I’d left them behind. They were patient, kind, and selfless about it. I spent two nights here on a tour around Europe. My room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. Some parts of the hotel looked old, but it was still comfortable. There are plenty of green spaces, a pool, and a terrace to relax on. Rome isn’t nearby, and the closest station is a 10-minute drive away, but getting into the city is easy after that. I’d definitely recommend the hotel!

The food is mediocre, and the beds are hard, uncomfortable, and squeaky enough to leave me with back pain. The WiFi cuts in and out every five minutes, which is frustrating, and only about 10% of the TV channels work. Front desk staff are rarely around, and when someone is there, they seem irritated or bothered to speak with you, and can be rude. It wasn’t a good place to relax after a long day exploring Rome.

There’s no internet in the rooms, and the reception staff are rude and dismissive. They tell you to go into the lobby and don’t show much concern. That’s the response you get as a customer at a 4-star hotel in 2024. The sink in the room was clogged, and the air conditioning in some rooms didn’t work. They seemed very incapable of solving these problems. At breakfast, they put out a plate of tomatoes, and the rest was gone. If you’re on a tour, tell your tour company you don’t want this hotel. The service standard is very bad.

The place feels like a relic now, though I’m sure it was once luxurious. Four stars? It seems like someone’s trying to fool everyone. It needs to be condemned, not more business. I dealt with bedbugs, beetles, air conditioning problems, and a shower door I had to brace shut while using it. The bar seems permanently closed, and honestly, the downstairs restaurant should be too. The staff don’t seem to want to be there. The bad lighting and fixtures made my daughter say the hallways reminded her of “The Shining.” It might be haunted, if not by ghosts then by dead roaches, gnats, and flies. You have to pay for the pool and reserve it ahead of time. Without your own transportation, you’re stuck, since there’s nothing within a true walking distance. Do yourself a favor and avoid making your trip miserable. Stay under a bridge before choosing this hellhole.
