We stayed in the apartment facing the pool. Each morning we could open the glass door, cross the shaded porch with its armchairs and coffee table, and go straight for a swim. I never imagined that! The apartment was small but cute and had the basics we needed. Mrs. Carla even found a crib for our baby, who wasn't yet a year old. She's lovely. Her Verdicchio Superiore is remarkable too, so ask her about buying some. A few spiders and a bit of dust come with a country house, just to be upfront. The place is great if you want to relax and have some time alone. When we wanted to get out and see people, Jesi was a 15-minute drive away. I recommend parking near Via Mazzini. There are quite a few good spots to eat or have a glass of Verdicchio, maybe a sparkling wine made using the classic method. The setting in the Jesi hills feels wonderfully tucked away, but it's surprisingly easy to reach. From the very convenient state road exit, it took only six minutes to drive up the hill. Through the gate, there's a view that immediately puts you at ease: lush, soft grass, proud plants, and a lovely pool. We wanted to walk around the garden right away and take in the valley and the nearby village of Pianello Vallesina. The house has several apartments, and ours looked out over the pool. For places to see, I'd suggest the paper museum in Fabriano with a guided tour, the Frasassi Caves, the Valadier Temple, Jesi, and a quick look at Monte Roberto, Castelbellino, and Cupramontana. Those villages are beautiful, though pretty much abandoned and with little to do.

There are strict rules for children at the pool: no jumping, diving, or toys in the water. You feel watched the whole time so they don't do anything wrong. My wife can see the pool from the house. I wouldn't bring children here.

A lovely place for a relaxing break, with great facilities and a fantastic setting. The owners are friendly and discreet.
