I knew this place from a visit some time ago, and back then it didn't stand out. I came again a few days ago and learned right away that it had new management. What a surprise: the products were good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and young, all in a stunning setting. The owner is young, friendly, and professionally trained. We tried the appetizers, grilled meat, and dessert; that ricotta and pear tart with white chocolate shavings was especially lovely 😋. Great value too. Highly recommend!

The pergola makes for a welcoming setting, and the young service team were very polite and always ready to help. At the restaurant we had traditional local cooking, prepared very well. The meat was especially good, and the pizza dough was superb. I wasn't so keen on the tomato sauce on the pizza, though the pizza was still good overall. Prices were about average.

We were just passing through when we stopped for dinner at La Pergola. They told us it was under new management, with the chef also managing the place. He's very young but has experience in the business. We shared a really distinctive appetizer for two that still kept to tradition. I especially liked the beef tartare, Genoese cabbage rolls, beef meatballs, and fritters, though the other tastes were excellent too. The meat was great as well: tender, tasty Piedmontese beef and a taste of lamb, with baked potatoes and pan-roasted roasts on the side. The whole meal was excellent, the welcome was courteous, and the value for money was great. I highly recommend it.
