Casa Aloe B&B

We had a lovely stay at Casa Aloe with our puppy. There was plenty of green space for him to run around, which made it a great fit for us. Our bedroom was spacious, with a big comfortable bed, and every room has a lovely view. Ida looked after us so well. She's a wonderful host, and meeting her, her cute cats, and her plants was a pleasure. Breakfast was delicious too, with traditional Italian coffee and homemade cake to get the day started. Casa Aloe is surrounded by nature in the charming town of Montesansavino. We'd love to come back soon, and recommend it to everyone. Ida really went above and beyond for us. ❤️

The garden and house made a lovely impression: it's a small, charming place with plenty of outdoor space, including shaded tables and benches under a thatched gazebo where we could eat picnic-style food we'd bought elsewhere. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and tastefully furnished, with a TV and air conditioning. It had the feel of a Tuscan country home, and the drive there, past endless sunflower fields, was striking. Parking is inside the property behind an automatic gate, and guests get a remote control. The location was another reason we chose this B&B: it's a few kilometres from the highway, about 40 minutes from the prettiest villages in the Tuscan hinterland, and 30 minutes from Siena and Arezzo. We also liked what Mrs. Ida said about the place and herself when we read the description. The best part, though, was Ida herself. She's sociable, helpful, always smiling, and quick with a joke. She manages the whole place tirelessly and serves a generous homemade breakfast. She loves both sharing her stories and hearing about her guests' experiences. I especially remember the time she spent chatting with us over breakfast, and the unexpected conversation we had one evening in the garden.
