La Vecchia Fornace

The coffee is excellent, and the drinks are cheap, though the selection is limited. The rooms are spacious but old-fashioned. Bathrooms are clean but dated, with some structural problems. Breakfast was very poor: nothing beyond low-quality prepackaged food. The tables are crowded together despite the available space, perhaps to avoid a mess. They use skim milk, apparently the cheapest brand they could find. There are no smiles or conversation from the staff, though either would cost management nothing. A night's stay isn't worth the price, since there are better and cheaper options in the area. It wouldn't take much to improve things, but I don't know if anyone wants to.

We spent six wonderful days relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sea. The hotel is clean, and the beaches are large and free. It's a quiet, family-run place, a 15-minute drive from the sea, and just a two-minute walk from the historic center of Monte Urano. The owner was friendly and helpful enough that I'd give five stars just for him. The rooms are a little dated but well kept and very clean. Breakfast was good, with excellent homemade cakes and pastries, and dinner was delicious with generous portions. For the price, it was excellent value compared with other local hotels. Highly recommended if you want a well-priced stay away from the seafront in a peaceful area.

The owners are such lovely people. Food was delicious and there was plenty of it, with great prices too 😁. If you like having your own space and a peaceful stay, give this place a try and see for yourself! 😉

The owner was VERY KIND, but our one-night stay was rough. It was scorching, and the room had no air conditioning. There was a fan, but we had to switch it off because of how noisy it was!!!!!! Plus, there were lots of mosquitoes.
